According to traditional Chinese medicine, the tongue can serve as a map to help inform acupuncture treatments. One writer visited an acupuncturist (who also just so happens to be Gwyneth Paltrow's pro) who inspected her tongue and made some surprising discoveries.
I would consider myself somewhat of a self-care guinea pig. Always willing to try the latest treatments and trends in the wellness world. Co-ed sweat lodges in Austria? In the nude? Sure, why not? One of the more awkward things I’ve done, I’ll admit, but hey, I’m here for the experience.
This one in particular is packed full of turmeric to ease joint pain, saffron to reduce inflammation, and, according to the website, 36 additional ingredients. Between Chinese quince fruit, oyster shell, peony root, and devil’s claw, there’s got to be something in there that helps with pain, right? The multiple claws on the ingredient list piqued my interest the most. As Paul explains it to me, unlike Western and European herbology, he doesn't often use single herbs in isolation.
