Hyundai has revealed that, 2021 Elantra, and 2020-2021 Santa Fe models may have been assembled with non-confirming flow additive that was mixed with the production paint clear coat that results in inadequate adhesion of the front windshield to the vehicle. Owners of impacted vehicles may notice wind noise or water leaking from the windshield.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified via first class mail no later than February 25, 2022 and instructed to take their vehicle to a Hyundai dealership where the windshield will be removed and reinstalled with properly formulated material.
