Husband arrested for allegedly stabbing wife to death inside home in south Houston, police say
Ausencio Garcia was charged with murder after officers found Julia Picazo Carranza, 40, dead around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in her home at 14100 Del Papa, the Houston Police Department said in a news release.
Garcia was named as a suspect after HPD detectives spoke to witnesses and gathered additional information. He was arrested Thursday after he took police on a chase in Bellville. "The female victim was walking to her vehicle. The male subject pulled up, got out of his truck, and grabbed her," the post said."He was unsuccessful."
As officers approached Garcia's vehicle, he was seen snorting large amounts of what's believed to be cocaine, according to the post.
