Project would bring new housing, retail to distressed neighborhood.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Choice Neighborhood Initiative focuses on the area surrounding Johnson Towers, Butler Terrace and Butler Terrace Addition, now known as Mill Creek. Huntsville residents will have the opportunity to weigh in on the $400 million Mill Creek revitalization this week.
The project will also be near the city’s revitalization project that includes a suspension pedestrian bridge known as Skybridge and the creation of a linear park that also includes flood mitigation for the downtown area.
