Cops have issued a statement
Footage of the"distressing" incident that took place in Pollok Park on Wednesday emerged at the weekend.
A force spokesperson said: “On Friday, March 24, we received a report of a dog attacking cattle in Pollok Park, Glasgow.“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the owner of the dog and anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident number 1410 of Friday, March 24, 2023.”It read:"We’re aware of media reports regarding a dog attack on the Highland Cows within the park.
"The park offers plenty of opportunities to safely view the Highland Cows outside of the fields and we’d urge everyone to use those spaces rather than enter fields. "If you become aware of any further incidents, or hold information on this one, please contact either the police or Crimestoppers."A spokesman said: “This is a shocking incident that will have caused significant distress for the cattle and their very young calves.
