We’ll know that at the conclusion of the USA Gymnastics Championships, which open Thursday and continue through Sunday at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.All eyes will be on Simone Biles, looking to capture a historic ninth title. It’s the next step in her quest for a third appearance at the Olympic Games.

One person who won’t be competing is Gabby Douglas. The 2012 Olympic all-around champion withdrew from the events on Wednesday, citing an ankle injury.Brody Malone, a two-time U.S. all-around winner who competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, leads the men. He expects to compete in all six apparatus for the first time since a serious injury last March that required multiple surgeries and months of rehab.
