Peter Pan & Wendy star Yara Shahidi explains how the upcoming remake corrects aspects of the original Disney movie. Directed by David Lowery, Peter Pan & Wendy is an upcoming live-action remake of 1953's Peter Pan, an early Disney animated movie based on works of fiction by author J. M. Barrie. Like the original, the remake will tell the tale of Peter and how he recruits three siblings from London to join him for an adventure on the island of Neverland.
“It’s such a beautiful moment to step into a fairy tale that I think means so much to people… I think remakes have to be prove why they are worth being remade in the first place, and having had a chance to watch the film, I think [David Lowery] updates it in a such a natural way.
