Laurent knows he's different from other kids.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon star Puech Scigliuzzi has opened up about how Laurent feels regarding his specialness compared to other kids, which is all because of his zombie-centric origins. Laurent is considered by Isabelle and the Union of Hope to be a Messiah figure because of the circumstances of his birth. His mother, Lily, was a zombie when he was cut from her stomach, making him a miracle birth within the apocalypse.
He's been told by a lot of people that he's a special kid, especially the nuns, so he does have a consciousness that he's not like other kids. When he arrives at the school, he wants to be like all these other kids who are just trying to have fun and have friends. But you know, that's kind of hard for him because he's never seen another kid before. It's a good experience for him at the school which is why he doesn't want to leave.
