As the first few flakes of snow start hitting the mountain tops — Lake Louise Ski Resort has set up new accommodations for staff after a fire destroyed the log cabin where workers used to stay.

This winter there are pop-up trailers available to house staff.In July, a fire tore through the log cabin known as the Charleston Residence at the resort, displacing around 160 people.Leigha Stankewich, marketing and communications manager at Lake Louise Ski Resort, said they've provided a few different housing options for staff ahead of this season.
Some staff are staying at ski-in and ski-out mobile trailers at the base of the resort. There are three trailers there and they plan to add a fourth as a common space and kitchen facility.They have also secured accommodation at Deer Lodge, a hotel near the Lake Louise lakeshore and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
