The group sways others' decisions on products and expects easy experiences with financial companies.Industries ranging from technology to healthcare have a group of consumers who lead the way in embracing innovation — and financial services is no different.

Above all, this group wants to work with financial-services institutions that help them manage, grow, and protect their assets. From checking accounts to auto insurance, persuaders expect experiences that are fast, frictionless, helpful, and easy. Google's survey found that 76% of persuaders said they were willing to explore new and innovative tech if it offered a better service than their current provider.

With so many persuaders seeking better experiences, FSIs need to deliver or else fade into obscurity. The first step is to connect to prospective customers online. Google's study found that the vast majority of persuaders learned about disruptive technologies online, with 55% finding new tech via online search, 21% from online video ads, and 36% from online display ads.
