Two women reveal how they're getting creative during lockdown
"The first challenge was creating an area where I can work and take client calls in peace. It's a stressful time for many brides who've had to postpone their weddings, so I knew I needed a zen space where I could speak to them via Zoom. This room was initially a dumping ground, a chaotic place to stash bits from our storage unit when we first moved in, so it took several weeks to turn it into the peaceful studio it is now.
"Good lighting is key. I’m obsessed with lamps, so I dug out as many as I could and put them in every corner. I brought in mannequins to drape and pin, I surrounded myself with flowers, and propped large prints from one of our photoshoots on the mantelpiece. The big marble table means I can spread out my designs and I spend hours sketching and speaking to brides from my in-the-nook desk.
