A Houston area child is in critical condition after being struck by a rideshare driver.
– A Houston area child who was struck by a rideshare driver has died.The female 1-year-old was hit after an Uber driver dropped off a family, which included the child. The driver thought the path was clear and drove forward, running over the child.
The child was transported to HCA-Kingwood Medical Center in critical condition, where she was pronounced dead.The report was confirmed by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez:Family members reportedly pulled Khan out of the vehicle and assaulted him. Khan was transported to Houston Northwest Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was cooperative with the investigation and reportedly showed no signs of impairment.
