Houston man accused of killing son, then himself was scheduled for court on family violence charge
A man who is believed to have strangled his son and then killed himself Sunday at their west Houston apartment was scheduled to be in court Tuesday on a misdemeanor family violence charge, according to authorities and court records.
The son suffered apparent asphyxiation by his father, according to a news release from the Houston Police Department. The father was apparently found with self-inflicted wounds from an edged weapon, the department added. The elder Tabarzan was charged with misdemeanor assault of a family member after an incident in August where he allegedly hit his wife with his hand, court records show.Family of Arlene Alvarez calls for an end to gun violence against Houston’s children
