Flags in Washington, DC flying at half-staff in honor of Jimmy Carter, Dec. 30
WASHINGTON — The flags at the Capitol will fly at their full height when Donald Trump is sworn in as the 47th president next week, House Speaker Mike Johnson declared Tuesday.
“The flags will be lowered back to half-staff the following day to continue honoring President Jimmy Carter,” he added.President Biden had ordered flags to half-staff for 30 days in commemoration of Carter, who passed away Dec. 29 at the age of 100.
