House Republicans ask DEA, CBP to help get ‘zombie drug’ off the streets
Rep. Jim Banks says he hopes the Biden admin "moves quickly" to fight the opioid crisis; House Republicans say they will act if administration does not.
"The effects of xylazine are devastating and include severe necrotic skin ulcerations that often lead to amputation, and severe withdrawal symptoms that leave users trapped in a vicious cycle of addiction," they said. Rep. Kat Cammack co-authored the Monday letter to DEA and CBP asking them to address the xylazine crisis.
