New allegations of sexual misconduct inside the Washington NFL team, including against owner Dan Snyder, have reignited scrutiny of the league’s investigation and the behavior of the club’s boss.
The House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s investigation into the NFL’s handling of workplace misconduct allegations at the Washington Commanders this week inflamed existing problems—and created new ones—for the league, commissioner Roger Goodell and the club’s owner, Dan Snyder.
On Thursday, the league said it would launch a new probe of allegations made by former employees of Washington’s NFL franchise—including an accusation of harassment against Snyder—that were aired at a roundtable hosted that day by the committee.
