House panel subpoenas former White House communications director Hope Hicks and former chief of staff to White House counsel Don McGahn

WASHINGTON—The House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday subpoenaed two former White House officials for documents and testimony, a day after another former official rebuffed the panel’s subpoena at the White House’s direction.

The committee sent subpoenas to former White House communications director Hope Hicks, one of President Trump’s closest advisers, and Annie Donaldson, who served as chief of staff to former White House counsel Don McGahn. Both Ms. Hicks and Ms. Donaldson spoke to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators....
