It will be.

Don’t worry about the planet. Earth will continue to orbit the mid-sized star at the center of our solar system for the next 7 to 8 billion year before said star runs out of juice, expands and burns the innermost terrestrial planets to a crisp. Until then, Earth will be just fine. All this is to say, when you read about humanity passing 1.5c of warming in the next five years, don’t fret for the fate of the planet, worry about everything on it.
According to the World Meteorological Organization there’s a 66% chance we pass the critical 1.5c mark by 2027. 1.5c by 2027 is just the tip of the iceberg, no seriously, everything else will have melted by then. That degree of warming means exactly what you think it means. More flooding, more droughts, more wildfires, more severe weather, more climate refugees heading for higher ground. If you’ve ever wanted to have oceanfront property, just wait, you may get it, involuntarily.

African elephants, giant pandas, snow leopards, poison dart frogs and of course polar bears are all, along with many many other species, at a very real risk of disappearing forever.
Climate change has been politicized, as if dying in a dystopian, Mad Max hellscape was a partisan issue. The climate doesn’t care who you voted for. The Colorado River isn’t moving to a red state, it’s drying up. Republicans are using the debt ceiling to try and claw back some of the climate provisions passed by Biden in the Inflation Reduction Act.
