It is not nearly as smokey and hazy to start the weekend. After a week of poor air quality, There are no Air Quality Alerts in effect along the Front Range Saturday.A few stronger storms in the high country may produce heavy rain at times, with a limited threat for flash flooding over burn scar areas.
Rainfall totals could range from 0.8-1.2 inches for the lower elevations and 0.5-0.7 inches for the high country, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Drier and hotter conditions are coming on Sunday. We also have high fire danger with a Red Flag Warning in effect for Sunday for western Colorado.
Temperatures will heat right back up through the middle of next week with more near triple-digit heat and little, if any, rain. Smoke will also come back into the forecast on Sunday night into Monday. Warnings for Air Quality may need to be posted once again.
