The Riverview Ravens will host the School Sport Nova Scotia Division 1 boys’ basketball provincial championship this weekend at Riverview High School in Coxheath. The team will open the tournament on Friday at 4 p.m. against the Charles P. Allen Cheetahs of Bedford. The Ravens will enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will begin their quest for a provincial title at 4 p.m. when they take on the No. 2 seed Charles P. Allen Cheetahs of Bedford. Riverview and Charles P. Allen will be joined in the tournament by the No. 1 seed Citadel Flames of Halifax, No. 4 seed Cobequid Educational Centre Cougars of Truro, No. 5 seed Halifax Grammar School Gryphons, No. 6 seed Horton Griffins of Wolfville, and No. 8 seed North Nova Gryphons of New Glasgow.
The bronze medal and championship games will be played on Sunday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively at the Riverview gym.The Glace Bay Panthers and Memorial Marauders will represent Cape Breton at the provincial tournament at North Nova Education Centre in New Glasgow this weekend.
