The folks at Hoonigan update their fans and share a fitting tribute.
Hoonigan co-founder Brian Scotto leads the video with the business update, followed by a montage celebrating Block’s life. Fittingly, this clip shows Block doing what Block did best: have fun. The memorial video shows Block’s extreme sports days, as well as his automotive adventures.
Trying to capture anyone’s life in six minutes is a challenge, but hitting all of Block’s biggest accomplishments is a taller task. The video doesn’t spend too much time covering what Block did but focuses more on who he was. In every section of this tribute, it’s clear that Block was living the life he wanted to live.
At the end of the video, it cuts to an interview with Block, talking about his legacy. “At the end of the day,” Block says, “I try and inspire people to be creative and live a fun life.” Looking at Block’s impact on car culture alone, it’s safe to say he was successful.
