Sheldon Shrouder, 47, was picked up by cops on Jan. 17 and is now getting mental health services.
Sheldon Shrouder is getting help from the city after complaints from residents.Cops and residents say he repeatedly broke into a Lexington Avenue building but the city never stepped in to help.Residents have been frustrated with the city for not stepping in with Sheldon Shrouder.
Locals said they repeatedly called 911 and 311 but nothing was ever done to address their issues or to get Shrouder any mental health services. Police also charged Shrouder with three other petit larcenies that occurred in the building between September and December of last year. In each instance, he snatched the tip jar from inside the building, cops said.
