New images of History of the World Part II have been released for the upcoming Hulu series.
Newly released images from History of the World, Part II reveals the sequel to the beloved Mel Brooks movie. Released in 1981, the original comedy film, History of the World, Part I, retold significant events in history through humorous fictionalized vignettes. Written and directed by Brooks, the movie covered the Stone Age, the Old Testament, the Roman Empire, the Spanish Inquisition, and the French Revolution.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Entertainment Weekly shared new images of the upcoming History of the World, Part I sequel, History of the World, Part II.
The upcoming Hulu series will consist of eight episodes and cover various periods of world history, both preceding and following the events of the original film. Other than the Russian Revolution and Shirley Chisholm's Presidential run, the new show will feature sketches taking place during the construction of the pyramids at Giza in Egypt as well as the American Civil War.
History of the World, Part I concluded with a teaser for a fictional sequel film, sporting scenes from time periods to include World War II with Hitler on Ice, the age of the Viking with A Viking Funeral, and a futuristic time period with Jews in Space. It is unclear if any of the events covered in the faux coming attractions will be present in the new series. However, the cast as ice skating commentators may hint at a potential Hitler on Ice sketch.
