A 16-year-old boy was shot in the left shoulder, arm, face and ankle and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, police said.A mass shooting Tuesday afternoon on Chicago’s South Side left one person dead and four others wounded. A second 18-year-old man was shot in the right leg and taken to the University of Chicago in good condition, authorities said.Police say officers immediately tried performing life-saving measures on the wounded, but that they were met by a hostile crowd of community members and gang members who were "actively fighting the police." Two people are in custody for fighting with officers.
