Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst lead $50 million seed round in Hippocratic AI to deliver large language models to healthcare providers

First, Hippocratic AI tested its large language model against 114 different healthcare certifications, 105 of which its model outperformed OpenAI's GPT-4 on, Shah told Insider. These certifications covered a wide range of specialties, from urology to pharmacy to gynecology. Hippocratic AI's focus on"bedside manner," or the way in which healthcare professionals interact with patients, is another healthcare-specific feature that Shah believes is overlooked in more general large language models. The ability for AI models to provide information in an optimistic, uplifting manner can actually have a real positive impact on patients, Shah said.
