DENVER — Tonight and tomorrow, a high-pressure ridge will keep things stable. Highs on Sunday will be a bit warmer than today, with Denver likely reaching 90 degrees.There will be smoke arriving in northeast Colorado late Saturday into Sunday from wildfires outside the state. Expect hazy skies to return.Expect isolated showers and storms in the mountains and far eastern plains through mid-evening Sunday. After that, skies will clear.
From Wednesday, the ridge will shift east, and a large trough will move in from the west. This will increase the chances for showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the higher terrain. Thursday may see windy conditions as the trough moves through, with temperatures still warm in the mid 80s to low 90s.By Friday and Saturday, the trough will pass north of Colorado. There may be a few showers or storms on Friday, but with dry conditions expected, precipitation will likely be minimal.
