Experts say flying is safer than it was earlier in the COVID-19 pandemic because of airlines' changes, but travelers can take precautions, too.

"Customers who choose not to comply with this or any other safety requirement risk losing their future flight privileges with Delta,'' CEO Ed Bastian said in a memo to employees last week.
