The Pittsburgh Steelers will get a chance to run their first kickoffs under the new rules against the Houston Texans.

"Well, we took the distance out of it. We took the speed and the distance out with all of it, right? So, if we’re just in a five-yard area – me and you are in a five-yard area – who best in the game of football gets off blocks? Defensive linemen do it for a living, linebackers do it for a living. Tight ends do it on their releases when they’re covered, so they ought to be good at getting off that block. I’m going to get blocked.
“Well, vision is huge,” Plumlee said. “You think about the space you have, and it plays out more like a run play than anything. Really, it’s like running an inside zone. You might start seeing different variations of run plays as you get used to it, but going to the right gap and hitting the hole is the most important thing for a returner. So, yeah, it plays out like inside zone.”
