After a blockbuster fall, HBO Max will slow down a bit in December — but that’s not to say there’s nothing worth streaming.
“South Side” , starring Sultan Salahuddin and Kareme Young, returns for its third season. Blessed with an outstanding ensemble cast, this consistently hilarious blue-collar neighborhood comedy is a low-key highlight for HBO Max. There’s also the third and final season of the fantasy epic “His Dark Materials” , based on “The Amber Spyglass,” the final novel in Philip Pullman’s award-winning trilogy; Season 2 of the rebooted prep-school drama “Gossip Girl” , which has teased the return of one of its OG characters: Georgina Sparks ; and Season 4 of the superhero dramedy “Doom Patrol” .The Warner Bros.
