There is currently a heavy police presence in Ellensburg following an "apparent shooting" that occurred Friday afternoon, according to the Ellensburg Police Department Officers said they are actively looking for a suspect and are doing everything to keep the community safe.
All nearby elementary schools were also released at their normal time, with buses also being roughly 15 minutes behind, police said.Police also noted that several agencies were involved in the search for this suspect. The EPD said they have set a perimeter around the location where the incident occurred.
At this time, there is no description of the suspect or any explanation of what exactly led up to the police presence.
