Drivers should slow down and prepare for a longer commute Friday morning because of heavy fog that could significantly reduce visibility, forecasters said. Road visibility could drop below one-quarter of a mile in some parts of Franklin, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties, theThe fog is most likely to be a safety issue before 9 a.m., forecasters said.

“Slow down, keep plenty of braking distance between you and the vehicle ahead, and allow extra time for your morning commute to work or school,” the NWS said.More patchy fog is in store Saturday morning, forecasters said, followed by another sunny and low 80-degree day.Sunny, with a high near 81.Saturday NightMostly cloudy, with a high near 77.
