Perhaps this little fish really was practicing for its role in an upcoming 'Jaws' remake.
THE BRINEY BLUE — Not too long ago, we posted a video of the world's cutest fish. I still love how that baby pufferfish just floated around in the water like a cherubic little alien. This footage comes to us from South Africa, where a family was snorkeling in the KwaZulu-Natal region. Unbeknownst to the family, the particular reef they chose was guarded by a ferocious guard fish.
You have to respect the courage and tenacity of the little creature. Going up against an adversary many times its size, this fish refused to back down. Some commenters on the video suggested that the fish was protecting its nest. With eggs nearby, it was willing to do just about anything in its power to drive away the intruders. That's a viable theory and lends added meaning to its actions.
On the other hand, there might be another explanation. My favorite theory from the comments section is that the fish was practicing for its role in an upcoming "Jaws" remake.Have You Seen This? In the process, though, he took part in a much more entertaining — and, dare we say, more important — matchup: De La Cruz vs. the Brewers' scoreboard crew.
