While appearing on UK's "This Morning" Tuesday, the crooner recalled a "completely inappropriate" encounter when Sinatra kissed his wife, former model Jill Goodacre, on the lips when he first met the legendary singer many years ago.According to Connick Jr., the moment occurred after he had "blanked out" when he performed for Sinatra. Connick Jr.
"That was an unpleasant experience because as much as I wanted to sing for him and everyone else," Connick Jr. began on the morning show, per"I completely forget the words," he continued. "I was with my wife, then my girlfriend, and then we saw Frank at the lift and I said, 'we should go, I need to explain myself.' I said, 'I'm sorry I'm much better than what you saw.
"It was probably unacceptable then," he explained. "It was a situation where it was an interesting thing, I think my affection for him in the context, she thought it was hilarious, but obviously it's completely inappropriate." Connick Jr. and Goodacre have been married since 1994 and share three daughters: Georgia Tatum, 23, Sarah Kate, 22, and Charlotte, 17.
