Why Harry and Meghan Were Turned Down From a Restaurant In Canada
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending the holidays in Vancouver Island, in Canada, with son Archie.
Deep Cove Chalet, a seafood restaurant owned by Bev and Pierrer Koffel in North Saanich, Vancouver Island, was scouted by Meghan and Harry’s security team for a potential dining spot. However, Bev Koffel told thethat, to her regret, when her husband was asked to book the couple in for a reservation, he turned them away due to the tight security that would be required.
Bev also told the paper: “Let them have their peace and quiet. For us to be so lucky to have them in the area, how lucky is that? I wish them all the privacy they can possibly get. They deserve it."The couple decided to spend Christmas away from the royals in favor of some"private family time in Canada." They were thought to be heading to Los Angeles to spend it with Meghan's mother,, but in a Palace statement, it was revealed that they would instead be in Canada.
