Dr. Joseph A. Randall battled for civil rights in education and recreation in Pennsylvania’s capital city.
In addition to his civil rights, medical and community work, Dr. Joseph A. Randall also ran for office.
He was a candidate for state House in 1948 and for Harrisburg City Council in 1949 but lost. Randall's primary platform as a House candidate was clean elections, and his main target was state Senate President Pro Tempore M. Harvey Taylor's GOP machine.
