Decide that you are not going to give him an allowance, and let him know. If you can stick to that, he will have no choice but to figure out how to make money. That may motivate him.
If you can think of tasks that are different from his personal chores, that would be good. You don’t want to turn his regular home duties into a job if you can help it.I am terrible at bookkeeping, and I run a small business. When things get busy, my books get sloppy. That is not to say that I misuse funds or anything. It’s more that I don’t file receipts, and I don’t review accounts payable and accounts receivable at the end of each month.
I told my friend who also runs a small business, and he laughed at me and said I should be able to do it myself. What do you think?A clear sign of a smart person is someone who knows what they are not good at.
