The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning in New York City this weekend.
“On Thursday, July 27th, President Biden called on Americans to ‘listen to public officials and stay indoors’ due to the excessive heat advisory and poor air quality,” the festival’s official Instagram page shared in a statement
posted on Friday . “After strong consideration to this severe weather impacting New York City, it is with a heavy heart that we have made the tough decision to cancel this weekend’s Harlem Festival of Culture with public safety in mind.”
