“Everything has gotten better , especially my head,” said Skrobarcek, who is signed with Texas A&M. “I keep cool a lot easier, even though a lot of things happen in the match. I was just going for it and not holding back, even when you get nervous. I stayed true to what I do. I knew that if I keep doing what I’m doing, that I would win.
In Class 4A, Boerne seniors Jess Gonzales and Sam Gonzales defeated Soren Peterson and Hayden Harry of Lindale in three sets to advance to the boys doubles final at 8:30 a.m. The twin brothers defeated Mason Bagwell and Terry Ketchum of Pampa in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
