Markstrom keeping up his recent standard of play could very well wind up being the most important factor for the Flames as they come down the stretch and try to leapfrog the Jets and earn a spot in the post-season. “He played really well and overall felt really solid all night and even though they had some dangerous chances, you felt like you knew he was going to save it,” said Flames centre Elias Lindholm. “He’s always working hard, so obviously the whole team has had a couple tough bounces during the season, so obviously that doesn’t help the confidence. But the last couple weeks he’s looked real solid and we’ll need it.
