Happy Death Day has gained an impressive following, culminating in Happy Death Day 2U and potentially a third installment in the horror comedy franchise. Both Freaky and Happy Death Day explore horror through traditionally comedic situations, such as body swapping and time loops, while bucking the classic tropes of both genres.
Happy Death Day is one of my favorite franchises. If you were to do a third Happy Death Day or even a crossover with Freaky, what would you like to explore? Kathryn Newton said that she would be completely up for doing the crossover film. What do you say about that? The Happy Death Day/Freaky crossover is more just the fantasy of getting to work with Jessica Rothe and Kathryn together in one film. And I just think, tonally, they would blend well together. But in terms of what that plot actually looks like? I don't know yet.
