Realtor Giorgio Barresi, 42, was shot to death out front of his home on Portofino Pl. in Stoney Creek on Monday, March 2, 2020.
Cops suspected that the 2020 gangland-style hit on Giorgio Barresi was connected to the outbreak of violence rocking the southern Ontario underworld at the time. Barresi had been a childhood friend of late Hamilton mob boss Pasquale “Fat Pat” Musitano. Around 10:45 p.m. on March 2, 2020, Barresi returned to his residence on Portofino Place in Stoney Creek.With his wife and children inside, Barresi was confronted in his driveway by a single suspect and shot multiple times. He died almost instantly, police later said.
