Drummer Hal Blaine, one of the most recorded musicians in pop music history, died Monday at age 90. He has been featured on countless hits by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, the Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond and others.

Blaine was a key member of the ace Los Angeles studio musicians who came to be known as “the Wrecking Crew,” and is even credited with coining the term.
