'Certain products irritate my skin, giving me a horrible itchy rash around my mouth and eyes.'
. The rash can “can itch” and sometimes even be accompanied by a burning sensation. Though it is common around the mouth, perioral dermatitis can also occur around the eyes and nose, or a combination of all three spots.
"I have perioral dermatitis, so certain products irritate my skin, giving me a horrible itchy rash around my mouth and eyes," Hailey told the magazine. "I always try to avoid fragrance in products as it’s too much on the skin. However, I don’t always know what’s being put on my skin as I work with lots of different makeup artists.", Hailey told the mag that her basic skincare routine is to cleanse, apply serum, and moisturize.
One of her best skincare tips, which she learned also learned from Dr. Sturm, is to apply products when the skin is damp so "that it drinks up more of the nutrients from the moisturizer." In the new interview, Hailey also revealed that being on birth control affects her skin, as does the city she's living in. "I'm on a birth control now where I don’t have a period, but I still feel symptoms of PMS and this can also affect my skin too. My skin actually stays a lot better in Canada where there’s cleaner air, than when I’m in New York or Los Angeles."
