This year’s Grammy Awards sees H.E.R.
Here, H.E.R. opens up about her meaningful new role, her beauty and self-care routine, and the thrilling year ahead.It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I've always watched the Grammys and have seen some of my favorite artists of all time perform and give their speeches. So to now be in that position is kind of mind-blowing. There are so many other dope nominees, and a lot of dope female nominees, at that. So it’s really cool to see.
You’re also the new global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, which is major on many fronts. What excites you most about this new role? I started performing on television when I was really young, like 10 years old, and when they would put something on my face, it was always? Like I remember going to the store with my mom as a kid, like, ‘Can I please buy this mascara?’ Can I please get this L’Oréal True Match? To think I'm working with just such a big brand… and what they stand for is even more special and important to me.Hair has always been one of those things for me, like it's always been.
