Eight competitive gymnasts from the Sault Ste. Marie Gymnastics Club (SSMGC) showcased their skills at the Grand Rapids Classic gymnastics competition. Addison Keating, Peyton O'Brien, Ava Greener, and Zeegwen Rickard were among the top performers of the weekend.
Over this past weekend, eight competitive gymnasts from the Sault Ste. Marie Gymnastics Club (SSMGC) competed in the Grand Rapids Classic gymnastics competition in Grand Rapids, Mich. This was the club's third invitational competition of the season, the club noted in a news release. The top finishers of the weekend were Addison Keating, Peyton O'Brien, Ava Greener and Zeegwen Rickard. In the Gold Jr.
B Division, Keating placed 6th on vault, 6th on bars, 2nd on beam, 1st on floor and rounded out the competition as the gold medallist in her division. In the Gold Jr. A Division, O'Brien finished the competition with a 2nd on vault, 2nd on bars, 4th on beam, 3rd on floor was named the all-around champion in her category. In the Gold Jr. B Division, Rickard secured 1st on vault, 5th on bars, 7th on beam, 4th on floor and was the bronze medallist in the all-around.
