“As the child of someone, you get access other people don’t have, so the playing field is not level in that way,” she. “However, I really do feel that once your foot is in the door, which you unfairly got in, then you almost have to work twice as hard and be twice as good. Paltrow rubbed mothers the wrong way when she claimed it’s harder to be a parent as a famous actress than a person with a “regular job.”
After the mom of two was criticized for her viewpoint, with many pointing out that a Hollywood star earns much more money than someone with a conventional career, she defended herself in a Goop newsletter for Mother’s Day.
