Grieving mum, 36, and four kids facing homelessness before Christmas after partner's sudden death
A mum-of-four claims she and her children face becoming homeless after being evicted from their home in Tameside following the sudden death of her partner.
She claims they've been told by their local council that due to the wait for housing, if they can't find anywhere to stay, they'll be put in a hotel without cooking facilities indefinitely. "After his second round of chemotherapy they did another scan and it showed that the tumour had doubled and he had months to live. I was looking after four kids whilst being his carer.
"We are homeless," she said. "The stress of it all is making me ill. My mental health is deteriorating and my son has learning difficulties so he's really struggling. "I've got Christmas coming up and three of my children's birthdays are in December," she said. "There are days at the moment where I can't even get out of bed because my mental health is so bad.
