Meanwhile, it is all about Alabama’s defense, while McElroy points out the Tide offense has to cut down on the mistakes after a 24-10 win over Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin. “They just have a lot to clean up. There are still penalties. They’ve been better in that regard, but it is still something they have to address.”
On the other hand, “the defense is really rounding into form,” he said. “They are really starting to get it going.”
