Thrawn is remarkable at getting things done, if his rise in the Chiss Ascendancy as well as his efforts during the reign of the Empire is any indication. Mikkelsen knows that this is the most compelling thing about Thrawn as a villain, and there's no doubt many viewers agree.
Grand Admiral Thrawn Doesn't Have The Force... But Could He Be More Dangerous Than Palpatine? Palpatine was the master behind the rise of the Empire during his orchestrated Clone Wars, but even he couldn't foresee the eventual betrayal of Darth Vader, and he had the Force on his side.
