“Ukrainian people need our help and they need it now,” Wolf said. “It’s incumbent on all of us to step up, work together to provide the support they need.”Iryna Mazur, honorary consul of Ukraine in Philadelphia and immigration lawyer, said Ukrainians now arriving in the United States are coming on unexpired visitor’s visas. She said there’s a lot of questions surrounding what to do with them since they can’t legally be employed and many have no family here.

He spoke of family and business associates there who have come under attack by machine gun fire and a friend’s parents who were executed along with others by Russian Chechen soldiers while hiding from air strikes in a basement.While he was able to get to the Polish border to make it back to the United States, he said, “all those people that was stayed in the border, they were trying to evacuate the country.
